CenterPointe
CenterPointe athletes are trained in strength, mobility, power and endurance. Unlike at most gyms, our athletes work under the guidance of skilled trainers. We believe quality coaching in constantly varied functional movement leads to the best results and fewest injuries. Ours is a fitness that allows us to take on the challenges of any workout and everyday life.
At CenterPointe you are more than a number and you will always be asked to work hard. In return, you will be coached in a safe environment where you will learn the fundamentals with proper form while being inspired to move beyond your comfort zone. At CenterPointe you will have an athletic family and build a support system like none other.
Contact Head Coach Amy Keys (amy@studiocenterpointe.com) for a complimentary One-on-One Session were we will talk about your fitness goals, show you around CenterPointe, and move!
There is no substitute for one-on-one attention...
A private session is you and a coach working one-on-one to improve your athletic abilities. Your individual goals and programming needs are what we work on. Recovering from an injury? Looking to stay strong as you train for a marathon or enhance upper body and core strength for a more powerful yoga practice? Working on weight loss? Getting ready for your Wedding? Private training will help you accomplish all of these things, and more!
MAT is a very specific, non-medical, and bio-mechanically based process of evaluating and treating muscular imbalance. The goal of MAT is to increase the contractile capability of your muscles, resulting in greater efficiency of individual muscles. Doing so allows you to experience more strength, stability, range of motion, and reduced muscle and joint pain.
During Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) sessions our Specialist will work to assess and optimize your muscular system, enhancing your recovery from workouts and/or injury and thus enabling improved performance in everyday and physically intense functional movements.
Small Group Classes at CenterPointe involve lots of personal attention in a focused, positive group setting. Classes are held 7 days a week and include a warm up, technique instruction, and a workout. Movements and weight are scaled on an individual basis. As we continue to grow our community, we will be added additional classes and class times!
10 class-packs and Drop-ins welcome
The Essentials [VIRTUAL] is tailored to seniors (all ages are welcome) of all fitness levels with the desire to build muscle strength and bone density as well as improve joint range of motion, balance, and strength to gain better quality of movement and less join pain and instability. We work to improve functional movement, range of motion, and balance through resistance exercises using weights, resistance bands, and our own bodies. Join us Tuesday and Thursday at 10am.
CoreWerk [VIRTUAL] will strengthen your core and help you improve your flexibility. We believe that incorporating core work into our training helps us to move better and lift more. This class is recommended for all levels and more advanced participants will be given the option to work on high-skill movements. Join us Wednesdays at 5:30pm.
Raise the Bar (RtB) is CenterPointe’s advanced training program. This is where we put it all together, with intensity. In addition to powerlifting (squats, deadlifts and presses) and basic gymnastics, you will learn and train the Olympic lifts (the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk), two of the most dynamic functional movements in sport. RtB classes are on the clock and include varying bouts of intensity to further overall conditioning, strength and power, enhancing athletes’ ability to move correctly under a variety of physical challenges. Before and after each class, athletes employ mobility techniques to release tension, improve movement and speed recovery. Please note that successful completion of Starting Pointe and a minimum attendance of 3 days/week are requisites for training in RtB.
Starting Pointe (SP) is our on-ramp course for Raise the Bar. During these 4 sessions, RtB coaches will work with groups of 3 or fewer athletes to introduce you to the basics of functional movement. Ours is a set curriculum and you will receive technique videos and hands on practice as you learn the functional lifts (squat, deadlift, press, clean and snatch) we work in RtB. All new members must complete a minimum of 2 weeks (4 sessions) of SP before beginning RtB. SP sessions will be scheduled based on participants schedule.
Class schedule is subject to change. PT will be scheduled based on trainer and athlete availability.

Functional Movement strengthens multiple muscles at one time and are often helpful in ordinary everyday movements like sitting in a chair. Best of all, functional movement practiced at high intensity elicits neuroendocrine adaptations (hormonal and neurological changes) such as improved brain power and increased muscle mass.
